What I am to You...
Sunday, Feb. 15, 2004 . 5:46 p.m.

So many things...

My back is significantly better. It has receded from pains to general stiffness. I can tie my shoes now, although getting up from a reclined or sitting position still requires an intricate system of precise movements.

Work is going well, despite my constant lateness. I plan to make myself indispensable.

NEW ALIAS TONIGHT!

My Valentine's Day was spent on my hands and knees...cleaning. In preparation for an impromptu visit from my mother. At the end of it all, when she arrived a little before 1 am in the morning, she was disgusted at the state of my apt, and was almost moved to tears at the lack of optimal space maximization. One of the first things she talked about was when she was going to come in and rearrange my furniture, and how my dresser should go in my closet. This, after 18 hours of driving.

It's nice to see her and Megan, I must confess. They are here in town until Thursday. This is just the worst time they could have come down. I'm pretty much booked solid all week, in fact, I'm booked solid until next Monday.

Hopefully, I'll be able to see them at least once more before they leave.

Before they arrived, I managed to bake 3 batches of macaroons. 1 coconut, 2 cocoa. Brought some over to Jed's for that CIL soiree that I should have spent more than 30 seconds at. Megan at a bunch, she loves them. And there are about a hundred left so if you happen to be around and need some sugar, call me or come on by. And if you'd like a macaroon, help yourself.

"Lend me some sugar!"

Oh! So, rewind to Friday night, when Renee, Maria, and Liz (my roommates for next year) came by and we went out for dinner, then Coldstone (my first time! novice that I was, I foolishly asked for gummi bears as one of my mix ins and didn't even once glance at the brownies and totally missed the graham cracker crust), then we sat at Starbucks for a little over two hours, just talking, chillin, it was swell.

And so, that was pretty much my weekend, achronistically. Throw in a fabulous lunch this afternoon and the forthcoming obscene (i have come to find that i like [to use] this word alot in unusual contexts) amount of work and there you have it.

Upcoming: Exam Wednesday. Paper due Thursday.

Despite all this, I have the most urgent desire to take a nap.
