Started work on Monday. Recieved a lovely welcome card! I truly feel a part of the Development Team Family! And since we're temporarily without offices, we are sharing space with Special Collections. There are a lot of nice, smart, HOT people up in Special Collections. From England. With accents. AND THE ORGY OF TWEED!!! Beyond words, I tell you.

But my time up in librariansville will be short lived, hopefully. Now that renovations are done on the 4th floor, all that is left is for furniture to be moved in, and for me to get a computer, although I keep insisting I can use my own. After all that, you can come see me in my very own office! Or, rather, handicap accessible study cubicle converted into my office. But still! Amazing, no?

Another recent development: I am being slowly tortured to death by my lower back. I woke up from a nap yesterday to find that I couldn't move. I had to literally roll off the bed. Standing up was painful. I still can't stand straight. I loathe to sit down because it takes me forever to get back up, it hurts so much. This is bad. Real bad. I have to sleep on my stomache. This better go away and soon. I popped more than a couple of Tylenol but it's not working. And I am a working woman now!

I can't do my job with this piercing lower back pain everytime I move.

These next few days are going to be hell.
